Traffic Cannibalization Control
Traffic Cannibalization Control
Cross-Minus
Excludes internal competition between campaigns.
If the same keyword appears in Broad, Phrase, and Exact match types within the same advertising family, the system adds it as Negative Exact in the Broad and Phrase campaigns so that all statistics for the search term are collected in one campaign, preventing it from competing with itself for ad placement, and allowing precise control over CPC and placements for that keyword.
Cross-minus is automatically applied when creating new campaigns of any type — the target is added as a negative to all search campaigns of its family (if you're creating an Exact/ASIN campaign), or active targets from campaigns in the same family are added to the campaign (if you're creating Broad/Phrase/Auto/Category campaigns).

Duplicates
Fortuna automatically searches for duplicates within the product family by analyzing campaigns with the same parameters:
- - Ad type (SP/SB/SBV/SD);
- - Match type (EXACT/ASIN/BROAD/PHRASE/CATEGORY);
- - Ad target.
Similar to cross-minus, duplicate control prevents traffic overlap between campaigns, consolidating statistics into one campaign, which helps:
- - Improve optimization accuracy;
- - Reduce click costs that could be duplicated;
- - Increase campaign efficiency by avoiding redundant impressions on the same targets.
